Who to contact

The club decides how membership information, training, guardian relationships and published club content are used. Contact the club about this information. For your Sportio account, subscriptions and technical operations, contact Sportio at hei@sportio.no.

Before launch: clubs we contact and clubs that register interest

Clubs we contact. We use contact details that are publicly listed on the clubs’ own websites and in the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities (Enhetsregisteret, kept by the Brønnøysund Register Centre): club name, contact email address, municipality and web address. We do not process information about individual members in this phase. The legal basis is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) for contacting clubs as legal entities.

Clubs that register interest or submit requests. Name, email address and — if you fill them in — club name, sport, the tool you use today and the input you write yourselves. We use this information to develop the service and to contact you about the launch. The legal basis is the consent you give by submitting the form. We also store a cryptographically shortened form of the IP address to prevent misuse of the form.

The information is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Contact details are deleted no later than 24 months after the last contact, or immediately if you ask us to. If you do not want to receive any more emails, reply “no thanks” to one of them or write to hei@sportio.no, and you will be removed the same day.

Information in the service

An account uses your name, email address, password (in protected form) and date of birth. The club can register membership, contact details, teams, training plans, attendance, messages, guardian relationships and consents. The information is used for the features you and the club choose. Profile pictures and other club content are shown publicly only through the club’s publishing choices and the applicable consent settings.

Children and guardians

Children can have a sports profile without a login of their own. A guardian must confirm the relationship before it gives access to the child’s information. The club can choose to send training information to the child, the guardians or both. Consent to photos and publication can be withdrawn.

Payment, email and technical operations

Payments are handled by Stripe when the club chooses a paid subscription. Email may be sent via Resend, and mobile notifications via Expo, Apple and Google. Databases, file storage and error monitoring are used to operate the service securely. An up-to-date overview of the contracted data processors, storage locations and any transfers is set out in the club’s data processing agreement.

AI insights

Clubs can use AI insights to get suggestions for training plans and attendance analyses. The requests are processed by Anthropic (Claude) in the United States. A training plan is based on the sport, age group, level, team name and what the coach writes in the form — not on information about individual athletes. Attendance analysis must be switched on by the club and sends only anonymised attendance figures: athletes’ names never leave Sportio. AI responses are suggestions that the coach must review before they are used.

Storage and access

Access is controlled by club, role and confirmed relationships. Private documents are shared through time-limited links. Information is kept for as long as it is needed for the agreed purposes or for documentation required by law. Ask the club or Sportio for the specific retention periods that apply to your information.

Your choices and rights

You can request access, rectification, export or erasure, and request restriction of, or object to, processing where the conditions for this are met. Use the privacy settings in your account or contact us. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting processing carried out before it was withdrawn. You can lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
